I've been wanting to share these photos of a recent project {a reno of my good friend's powder room}for some time now. The photos, which were taken by the uber-talented Sarah Leeman of Bean Shoots Photography, really capture the fresh and vibrant energy of this room.
I am totally and completely in love with the graphic trellis wallpaper by Osborne & Little.
A floating vanity adds to the contemporary vibe of the room, while allowing the small
space to maintain an open and airy feeling.
Custom wainscoting was added and painted HC-172 Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore.
A bold and linear print creates great tension against the curved lines of the wallpaper.
Accents and accessories are from Urban Barn and HomeSense.
Polished chrome fixtures are used throughout the space for continuity and flow.
The gorgeous floor tile is Carrera marble and adds a touch of timeless elegance.
I read somewhere that powder rooms (due in part to their small size and the fact that guests are in and out in a short period of time) are a great place to have fun with both colour and pattern! I couldn't agree more and love the "sophisticated happiness" that resonates from this room.
What do you think, my fellow blog readers? Could you (or have you already) commit to bold colour and/or pattern in a powder room? I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter!
Until next time,
Kerry xo
