Hello friends,
I have a couple of "summery" blog posts all ready to go, but earlier today, when I was sorting through my considerable yarn stash and thinking ahead to fall knitting projects, I felt inspired to share one of my favourite colour combinations - teal and mustard. Typically, I am not as drawn to rich jewel tones as I am to more subtle pastels, but this vibrant pairing is a definite exception. I love the saturated depth of teal, as well as the inviting warmth of mustard.
Here are some fabulous images of this striking colour duo:
I think that a cozy cowl knit with these gorgeous yarns would be a fabulous fall project.

I know, I know, I am a bit of a yarn junkie, but how fun are these knit pillows/poufs?

Here, playful patterns and interesting textures work nicely with organic elements (bamboo blinds, hardwood flooring, starfish, hand-cut tulips) to create this restful space.

This image is "squeal-worthy!" I am in love with this perfect blend of mid century modern meets vintage thrift store! And, check out the beautiful contrast between crisp whites and calm neutrals with our bold, jewel-toned palette of the day.

How pretty is this mood board created by the talented amykathryn? I especially love the styling of the lamp vignette.

But, if you are like me, and have (on occasion) difficulty committing to a lot of intense colour in a particular space in your home, fear not - the inclusion of small "pops" of pattern and/or colour here and there may just do the trick.
Try bringing any of these teal and mustard accents into your space for immediate impact:

What do you think about this dynamic duo? I'd love to hear from you!
Try to stay dry on this dark and rainy evening,
Kerry
